This session was really fun! I have next to no experience with storyboarding and so it was interesting to see how it’s done by an industry professional.
One thing that I found challenging was the short turn-around time, I put so much time into the first few panels that I was rushed for time by the end. Accepting that it will be sketchy and rough is something I have a hard time coming to terms with, but this is good practice as I’ve had a similar issue with animating. As an illustrator it’s instinctual to me to try and make everything look ‘good’. I’ve found that this means that I’ll take forever animating or come out feeling unsatisfied by the look of my work. Its a balance that I aim to work on in the furture.
