This was an amazing experience in how character is linked to prop and costume. Wes Anderson does a great job of defining character in an almost cartoon way, each character has a distinctive look whilst complimenting each other and working well together visually.
Anderson’s compositions are also infamous for being pleasing to the eye and the same could be said for this exhibition. The animated music video below was screened at the end of the exhibit, I love how vibrant and expressive the main character is throughout. His movements are so fluid and don’t seem limited by the flat, two-dimensional style of the scenes.
